Diagnosis: This species can be recognized by: small to large clumps of numerous plants growing together on tree trunks or branches; short to long, filiform to narrowly lanceolate leaves that roll inward when dry; entire leaf margins lacking spines; sessile red, somewhat tubular, lobed flower closely subtended by red light to bright red bracts.
