Vegetative Morphology

Habit: Small tree to ca. 6 m tall.

Main axis: Bark strong.

Branch: Stems slender, black when dry, densely, long, red-brown, tomentose pubescent with young.

Leaves: Leaves simple, alternate, densely, long, red-brown pubescent especially when young; the petioles terete, slender, to ca. 1.2 cm long; the lamina elliptic to elliptic-oblong, to ca. 6 x 20 cm, greenish brown when dry, chartaceous, slightly asperous due to pubescence, the base acute to narrowly rounded, the apex narrowly acuminate, the acumen to ca. 1.5 cm long, the margins entire; the midvein raised above, pubescent when young, the secondary venation eucamptodromous, the tertiary venation inconspicuous.

Reproductive Morphology

Inflorescence: Inflorescence solitary of weakly fasciculate, ramiflorous or axillary.

Flowers: Flowers one to few per inflorescence, pedicillate, the pedicel green with red-brown pubescence; the sepals green with red-brown pubescence; the petals white, triangular-ovate.

Fruit: Fruit syncarpous on short stipe, red pubescent; not seen in mature stage in the study region.
