Fruit: Fruit an achene with persistent pappus. If lacking pappus, then giving the aspect of a small, fleshy drupe.

Infructescence: Infructescence terminal.

Distribution: Costa Rica to Paraguay.

Notes: Plants sometimes aromatic.
