Habitat

Habitat Description: Small waterlogged depression surrounded by tall terra firme forest. Mauritia flexuosa co-dominant with Virola, Diospirus, and a species of Lecythidaceae. Dense shrub layer.

Soil Description: Substrates of permanantly inundated areas peat (10-30cm) or peaty clay. Substrates of seasonally inundated areas clay. Hill-hummock topography.
