Locality Description: Los Amigos Biological Station, Madre de Dios River, ca. 7.0 km upriver from mouth of Río Los Amigos. Collections made in vicinity of the trail to Cocha Lobo, starting from lower garden and working towards Coca Llena.

Habitat Description: Old growth, lowland tropical to subtropical moist forest, lower terrace, younger floodplain, some areas seasonally inundated.

Botanical Data

Plant Notes: Herb 1.7 m. Flowers lavender. Growing in shallow water in an open, full exposure, low area. Growing with what seems to be Thallia (Marantaceae). Collected to the north of the first small cocha (canal)-- cocha llena.
