Botanical Data

Plant Notes: Terrestrial unbranched shrub, 1-2 m tall. Stem thick and subwoody. Apical leaves with nearly auriculate bases. Flowers in axillary clusters. Calyx bright orange; persistent and truncate in fruit. Corolla tubular and bright yellow. Fruit an orange berry. Photographs of this collection are with John L. Clark (UNA). SEM sample #37.
