Locality Description: Source: Cutting received from Wallace Wells (Manhatten, NY) in Feb 2004. Wild origin: collected in the wild by Hans Wiehler in Colombia during a GRF expedition (W. Wells, pers.comm.).

Botanical Data

Plant Notes: Stems herbaceous; pubescent. Abaxial leaf surface red with green venation. Calyx lobes separate; subequal (dorsal lobe smaller). Corolla oblique in calyx. Corolla ca. 3.5 cm long. Inside yellow with red spots; gland-tipped trichomes present at corolla mouth; corolla slightly enlarged (ventricose) basally. Nectary a deeply bilobed dorsal gland. Leaf material collected for molecular systematic studies.
