Habitat Description: Premontane/montane wet forest

Botanical Data

Plant Notes: Terrestrial herb, with succulent erect stems; 1-1.5 m tall. Rarely an eipiphyte. Adaxial leaf surface green with white veins. Calyx lobes light green (sometimes red). Corolla campanulate; outside white; inside with yellowish-purple striations. Fruit display-like; valve walls yellow. Photographs of this collection are in the Gesneriaceae photo file (US).
