Locality Description: Smithsonian Botany Greenhouse accession 96-268. Grown from cutting obtained from Richard W. Dunn (Fort Largo, FL) in September, 1996 (Dunn no. 96-04-314).

Plant Notes: Stems erect, 1 m tall. Bracts red. Calyx red. Corolla tubular and yellow. Presumably collected in Manta Real, Ecuador with John L. Clark (c.f., J.L. Clark and R.W. Dunn field collection no. 2469). Photographs of this collection are in the Gesneriaceae photo file (US). Leaf material used for molecular systematic studies.
