Plant Notes: Terrestrial herb with erect stems, 50-80 cm tall. Abaxial leaf surface usually green w/ red apex; sometimes entirely red. Red apices on abaxial & adaxial surfaces. Bracts and calyx lobes green. Corolla tubular; mostly white with red lobes. Fruit an elongate red berry. Nectary a trilobed dorsal gland. Growing along stream. Rare.
