Habitat

Habitat Description: Old growth, lowland tropical to subtropical moist forest, upper terrace, flat terrain.

Soil Description: Poor soil, moist, sandy-loam with some clay content.

Habitat: Terrestrial , Terra Firme Forest

Botanical Data

Plant Notes: Tree with hard striated reddish bark exuding a red resin when cut. In flower with mature flowers and buds. Flowers have a strong citrus-astringent scent. Abaxial surface of leaves is covered with a reddish pubescence (short-stalked trichomes). This individual is included in the phenology assesment (Placa 820). Flowers#3; buds#2. Representative flower specimens are also preserved in alcohol.
