Chapter II-6. Browsing By Research Site

In General: "Browse by" is the first choice on the Digital Herbarium navigation bar, and "Research Site" is the fourth option under it. Selecting it opens a list of all the research sites in the system and a count of the number of collections tied to each site. Click the number of collections to go to the Collections tab of the Collection/Specimen display with the collections for the research site.

Procedure: 

  1. Select

    Browse byResearch Site

    from the Digital Herbarium navigation bar.

  2. On the list of research sites, click the number of collections to move to the Collections tab of the Collection/Specimen display.

Note

Click "info" after the research site name to open a panel with a description of the research site. If you are on the research site information panel, click "View all collections from the (research site name) research site" at the bottom of the panel to go to the Collections tab of the Collection/Specimen display listing the collections for the research site.

Once you are in the Collection/Specimen display, you may click the Collections tab to see the collections for the research site, sort the Collection List by family, genus or specific epithet, and map the collections on the Map View tab.
