Vegetative Morphology
Habit: Trees 4 m tall.
Branch: Stems tan to brown, wrinkled, corky.
Leaves: Leaves simple, alternate; the petioles variable in size, to 15 cm long, tan when dry, striate; lamina broadly elliptic, to 23 x 14 cm, drying light, opaque green, papyraceous; base rounded to broadly acute; apex short to long-acuminate, the acumen to ca. 2 cm long; margins entire; secondary venation eucamptodromous, the veins arcuate-ascending, abruptly curving upward toward the margin, raised abaxially; tertiary venation conspicuous, reticulate.
