(version 1.5)
The Images tab shows a thumbnail of all the images for the Collection List on the Collections tab. The thumbnails on this tab can be enlarged or selected for inclusion in a field guide.
The tab shows a thumbnail of the images tied to each collection in the Collection List on the Collections tab. There may be more than one image for each collection, so the images for one collection are shown in a horizontal box that extends as far to the right as necessary. Each horizontal box is identified with the collector's name, the collection number and the collection determination. Each collection in the Collection List on the Collections tab is represented by a horizontal box, even if it does not have any images.
Click the collector's name to go to the collector's information.
Click the collection number to see the Collection Data tab of the Collection Detail display.
To see the images for one collection at a larger size, click any thumbnail for that collection. The Collection Images tab of the Collection Detail display opens. From this display of larger images, each image can be downloaded or opened in a window with zoom capabilities to examine the image in detail.
At the bottom of the Images tab is an option for creating a field guide. See Chapter III-14, Field Guide for more information about creating and printing a field guide. The second option is to add selected images or all images to a personal workspace within the Atrium application. Select each horizontal box of images to be added, or click "Select all records." Select a workspace from the drop-down list and click the "Save to folder" button. The images for the collections selected are added to the workspace.
At the bottom of the Images tab are three choices to set the category for the images on the tab. Click the check boxes for the appropriate images and click "Set Selected images to 'Herbarium' category" to set those images to a category of herbarium. A similar process can be used to set images to the 'field fresh' or 'field voucher' categories. The presence of these links on the bottom of the Images tab is controlled by a security group. If you do not see these links, you have authorization to categorize images.
