Habitat Description: Lowland tropical to subtropical moist forest. Disturbed vegetation in and around Aerodromo Los Amigos, on upper terrace.
Soil Description: Poor soil, moist, sandy-loam with some clay content.

Botanical Data
Plant Notes: Climbing on large dead tree trunk behind brushpile, climbing to 5 m. Stem square and hairy-angled; older stems less pubescent. Various leaf shapes, from nearly entire to deeply 3-lobed. Calyx scarlet-coral, corolla yellow-gold. NOTE: This specimen may have been distributed under a collection number (3313) that was accidentally duplicated, thus collection number now appended with a "-P."
