Locality Description: En la propiedad de Juvenal Camanti esta ubicado en un valle, rodeado por montaÃ±as boscosas que alcanzan aproximadamente hasta los 800 m. de altura.

Habitat

Habitat Description: Bosque con montaÃ±as, presenta un dosel que alcanza hasta los 40 m y generalmente son arboles hasta los 40 cm de DAP y con una alta densidad de tallos en estrato arbustivo. Estos bajos DAPs es por que el sitio de colecta en el pasado reciente y actualmente esta sufriendo una intensa presion antropica por las actividades de agricultura migratoria, extraccion selectiva de madera y mineria.

Soil Description: Suelos limosos hasta arcillos, con drenaje deficiente y buenos, en la cual presenta charcos de agua y pequeÃ±as quebradas. Constantemente estan humedos por las lluvias de la zona.

Botanical Data

Plant Notes: Palma de 1.5 metros de altura. Tallo con entrenudos. Hojas pinnadas y con vaina amplexicaule. Inflorescencia caulinar en especiforme con una bractea caduca. Frutos mas o menos redondo de color negro. Habita en sotobosques muy humedos y drenaje deficiente del bosque secundario en recuperacion.
