Two species of the genus Anastrepha Schiner with atypical wing patterns are described: A. aberrans from Rancho Grande, Venezuela, and A. freidbergi from Pakitza, Peru. A close relationship between A. freidbergi and A. doryphoros Stone is hypothesized, and the latter species is also redescribed.
