Vegetative Morphology
Habit: Tree to ca. 8 m tall.
Main axis: Bark strong, fibrous.
Branch: Stem slender, gray to gray-brown when dry, smooth.
Leaves: Leaves simple, alternate, nearly sessile; the petioles canaliculate, slender, to ca. 2 mm long, black when mature, smooth, glabrous; the lamina elliptic to only slightly oblong-elliptic, to ca. 5 x 15 cm, light brown to gray-brown when dry, chartaceous, glabrous, the base acute to rounded, the apex short to long-acuminate, the acumen to ca. 2 cm long, the margins entire; the secondary and tertiary venation inconspicuous, the secondary veins finely brochidodromous when visible, the tertiary veins almost invisible.
Reproductive Morphology
Inflorescence: Inflorescence solitary, ramiflorous or axillary.
Flowers: Flowers one per inflorescence; petals white, somewhat sericeous.
Fruit: Fruit apocarpous consisting of various monocarps; fruit not seen in study region.
Seeds: Seeds one to several per monocarp.
