Vegetative Morphology
Habit: Hemiepiphytic
Main axis: stems 2.2 cm wide, covered by a thick cuticle which flakes off in dried material
Leaves: spreading; petioles 24.8 cm long, about equaling the blade, sheathed ¾ their long aprox., sheath wings deciduous; blades 25.2 cm long, 18.4 cm wide, deeply pinnatifid, 5 pinnae per side, 2.8 – 1.9 cm wide, acuminate at the tip, contracted into a narrowly cuneate portion at the base, the terminal portion of the blade about equaling in size and shape the lateral pinnae; primary lateral veins about 9 per side, 1 – 2 per leaflet.

Reproductive Morphology
Inflorescence: 1 per axil; peduncle 7.3 cm long, slightly shorter than the spadix; spathe not seen.
Pistillate Flowers: stigmas conical.
Fruit: fruits with conical apex.
Infructescence: greenish; spathe caducous; spadix 9.7 cm long, 1.7 cm wide.
