Morphological Description
Diagnosis: Stems to 12 mm long. Leaves 1-2 mm long, ovate to ligulate; apices obtuse to rounded; margins entire to crenulate, particularly in distal half; costa subpercurrent to percurrent. Leaf cells smooth, occasionally bulging-mammillose, upper cells rhombic, 1-2:1, median cells 2-4:1, basal cells oblong. Setae yellow to reddish brown, 3-6 mm long; capsules 0.6-2 mm long. Spores smooth, 13-17 µm diameter.

Ecology: On wet rocks, shaded soils and in seepage areas; sea level to 850 m.
