Inflorescence: Inflorescence terminal, reduced or elongate racemes or sometimes panicles, with up to 20 whorls of 3 or more flowers per node.

Flowers: Flowers actinomorphic, bisexual; calyx free, the sepals 3, green; corolla free, petals 3, white; stamens ca. 10-20; gynoecium apocarpous, the carpels few to more than 100; placentation basal.

Fruit: Fruit a achene, compressed laterally with wings or round with longitudinal striations or ridges.

Seeds: Seeds one per fruit.
