Vegetative Morphology
Habit: Tree to 20 m tall.
Main axis: Bark strong, fibrous.
Branch: Stem lightly to densely tan tomentose pubescent, the hairs simple.
Leaves: Leaves simple, alternate; the petioles terete, to 5 mm long, white tomentose pubescent; the lamina narrowly elliptic to weakly elliptic-oblong, to ca. 4.5 x 15 cm, green to green-brown when dry, papyraceous, asperous, tomentose pubescent, the hairs simple, the base rounded to weakly assymmetric, the apex long-acuminate, the acumen to ca. 2 cm long, the margins entire but rather ciliate due to dense tomentose pubescence on lamina; the secondary venation strongly brochidodromous, the tertiary venation weak and reticulate between secondary veins.
