Vegetative Morphology
Habit: Shrub or small tree to ca. 3 m tall.
Main axis: Bark strong, fibrous.
Branch: Stem smooth, brown to black when dry.
Leaves: Leaves simple, alternate; the petioles terete, slender, to 8 mm long; the lamina elliptic, to ca. 6 x 18 cm, tan to olive-brown when dry, lighter below, chartaceous, glabrous, the base acute, the apex acute to often long-acuminate, the acumen to 1.5 cm long, the margins entire; the midvein raised above, the secondary venation eucamptodromous, the secondary veins darker than lamina below.
Reproductive Morphology
Inflorescence: Inflorescence solitary, ramiflorous or axillary.
Flowers: Flowers 1 per inflorescence, long-pedicillate; the sepals tiny, ovate, green to brown; the petals imbricate, to ca. 2 cm long, green to yellow-green when mature.
Fruit: Fruit not seen.
