Habitat

Habitat Description: Permanantely flooded black water swamp dominated by Mauritia flexuosa. Water depth ranges from 1 to 3 meters. Water with little to no turbidity, visibility to 3 meters.

Soil Description: Substrate clay with abundant organic material.

Habitat: Aguajal Wetland

Botanical Data

Plant Notes: Herb. Floating aquatic. Submerged to 1.5 meters. Flowers emergent, colored cream. "horse tail" Fertile.
