Locality Description: Cultivated plant growing at the Marie Selby Botanical Gardens, Sarasota, Florida (SEL Accession number: 2001-0484-A). Origin: Ecuador: Pichincha.

Botanical Data

Plant Notes: Terrestrial herb with erect shoots, 30-50 cm tall. Leaves extremely rugose; dark green adaxially; dark purple abaxially. Calyx green suffused with purple. Corolla campanulate with pronounced spur; yellowish-white. Leaf material collected for molecular systematic studies. Photographs of this collection are in the Gesneriaceae photo file (US).
