Locality Description: Cultivated plant growing at the Atlanta Botanical Garden (ABG accession # 1991-0564; SEL accession # 5-14-1991). Wild origin: Ecuador, Provincia Pastaza, Puyo. Cutting obtained from Hans Wiehler & Masterson.
Plant Notes: Shoots erect. Upper leaf surface purple; trichomes abundant on lower and upper leaf surfaces. Leaf material collected for molecular systematic studies. Photographs of this collection are in the Gesneriaceae photo file (US).
