Botanical Data

Plant Notes: Terrestrial herb, 30-50 cm tall; shoots dorsiventral. Stems covered with dense pilose red pubescence. Flowers in axillary clusters; subtended by a large orange bract. Calyx orange. Corolla tubular and orange. Fruit a globose (sometimes appearing slightly flattened) white berry. Nectary a truncate (slightly trilobed) dorsal gland.
