Botanical Data

Plant Notes: Suffrutescent shurb, 1-1.5 m tall. Stems quadrangular and winged. Flowers axillary. Bracts and calyx lobes red. Corolla urceolate; curved; reddish-orange. Stamens dehisce initially via pores and then continue to open via longitudinal slits. Immature anthers with pores - opening oriented towards corolla apex; mature anthers with longitudinal slits - opening oriented towards base of corolla. Stigma bilobed.
