Habitat Description: Tropical montane wet forest.
Botanical Data
Plant Notes: Terrestrial herb, o.5 m tall. Stems succulent. Rhizomes present. Abaxial leaf surface red. Petioles, stems, bracts, and calyces dark purple. Corolla tubular; yellow with red lobes. Nectary a bilobed gland on lower (ventral?) surface. Additionally, a smaller single lobed gland was observed on the upper (dorsal?) surface.
