Chapter IX-3. Listing Recent Annotations

Recent Annotations: This feature lists all recent annotation for all determiners and collectors. Basic data for each annotation is displayed: collector's name, collection number, specimen number, the determination, determiner's name and institution, and the date of the determination. This is a paged list and many pages of data are available in this single option. To narrow the list displayed, see Search Annotations for more information about including only the annotations you are interested in.

To see the List of Recent Annotations:

  1. Click Login on the Atrium main navigation bar to log into Atrium. Type your password and click the "Login" button.

  2. Select

Recent Annotations

Click the collector's name, collection number or specimen number to open the Collection Detail display with the information for the collection. This display is the way to see the annotation history, which shows the current determination and previous annotations.

The specimen number identifies the actual specimen of the collection that was used for the determination.

Search Annotations. The Search for annotations can be used to find annotations for a particular collector or by a particular determiner. In addition, keys can be used as the major selections criteria, or as a minor selector after the collector or determiner. The search can also be based on the collection date.

  1. Click Login on the Atrium main navigation bar to log into Atrium. Type your password and click the "Login" button.

  2. Select

  3. Select a collector if desired. When a collector is chosen, a drop-down list of collection numbers for the collector is generated. The drop-down list is topped by and defaults to a value "All".

  4. Select a specific collection number is desired.

  5. Enter one or more keywords if desired. Only a space is required between words.

  6. Use the date control to enter the earliest annotation data desired. The format to type the date is YYYY-MM-DD (four digit year, dash, numeric month, dash, numeric day of month).

  7. Check or un-click to return current determinations only.

  8. Check or un-click to sort the results by family.

  9. Click "Search".

The annotations found for the search criteria entered are returned on the Results tab of the Annotation Search display.

The Results tab includes the List of Recent Annotations that satisfy the search criteria and paging controls to view the List of Recent Annotations.

Click on any the underlined column title to sort the List of Recent Annotations. Click once for ascending order and again for descending order.

Click "(List all)" to expand the List of Recent Annotations to see all the annotations at once. Click "(Show pages)" to return to a paged display.

Click "Generate PDF Labels" to generate herbarium labels for the annotations in the List of Recent Annotations.

Click the collector's name, collection number or specimen number to see the complete details for the collection.

Click the determiner's name, determiner's institution, determination date, date entered, date modified, entered by or modified by to see the details of the determination.
