Vegetative Morphology

Habit: Small caespitose epiphytes. Pseudobulbs small or lacking, usually subtended by foliaceous bracts.

Leaves: Leaves one, oblong to elliptic.

Reproductive Morphology

Inflorescence: Inflorescences densely-flowered, pendent racemes, the floral bracts minute.

Flowers: Dorsal sepal and petals free, spreading, the lateral sepals free or variously fused. Lip unlobed, long-clawed or rarely subsessile, usually with a basal keel. Column with the anther dorsal, without a foot or wings; pollinia 2, on an oblanceolate-spatulate stipe and minute viscidium.
