The plan is for Atrium to be deployed in several languages. The preliminary step is in place in that different languages can be set up in this table. Eventually strings with the same meaning but in different languages will be set up to provide column headings and buttons the appropriate verbiage. The Languages panel opens when "Languages" on the administrative navigation bar is clicked.
Click on "Languages" on the administrator navigation bar. The Languages list opens.
Add a Language:
Adding a language prepares for having the system deployed to a new geopolitical area. Translations for the terms used in the system will still be needed, but this is the first step.
From the Languages list:
Click "Add a Language". The Add Language panel opens.
Type the name of the language to be added to the system. A name is required.
Click the "Add Language" button. If you decide not to add the language, click the "Cancel" button.
Change a Language:
This procedure allows the administrator to change the spelling of a language in Atrium. Click "info" for a language to display a read-only panel of information on the language.
From the Languages list:
Click "edit" for the language. The Edit Language panel opens.
Change the language name.
Click the "Edit Language" button, or click the "Cancel" button to leave the Edit Language panel without saving any changes.
Delete a Language:
This procedure shows how to delete a language. As the red message informs you, deleting the language does not remove the strings tied to it.
From the Languages list:
Click "delete" for the language to be deleted. The Delete Language panel opens.
After reading the messages, if you still want to delete the language, click the "Delete Language" button. If you decide to leave the language, click the "Cancel" button.
Add, Edit or Delete a Weather Station. On occasion it may be necessary to add, edit or delete a new weather station.
Click on "Weather Data" on the main navigation bar. The Weather navigation bar opens and the Stations List is displayed.
At the top of this tab is "Add a station." Click the text to open the Add Weather Station panel.
Add a Weather Station:
Type the name for the new weather station.
Type a description for the weather station.
Type the instrument manufacturer.
Type the instrument model.
Type the instrument serial number.
Type the file format information.
Select a country from the drop-down list. This is the country in which the weather station in located, not the country of manufacture.
Select a region from the drop-down list.
Type the longitude and latitude for the location of the weather station.
Type the elevation of the weather station.
Use the calendar control to set the date the observations for the weather station began.
If the observations for the weather station have ceased, use the calendar control to set the end date.
Type the name of the operator of the weather station.
Type any notes pertaining to the weather station.
Type the contact information for the weather station.
Use the calendar control to set the last calibration date.
Type the measurement interval for the weather station.
For each sensor type, click enable is the weather station includes that sensor.
For each enables sensor, type a description.
Select a station manager from the drop-down list.
Click the "Add Station" button. If you decide not to add the language, click the "Cancel" button.
Edit a Weather Station:
This procedure allows the administrator to change information about a weather station.
On the Stations List, under the station to be modified, click "edit". The Edit Weather Station panel opens.
CH\hange the information as needed for the weather station.
Click the "Edit Station" button, or click the "Cancel" button to leave the Edit Station panel without saving any changes.
Delete a Weather Station: This procedure shows how to delete a weather station.
From the Stations List:
Click "delete" for the weather station to be deleted. The Edit Station panel opens.
After reading the messages, if you still want to delete the weather station, click the "Delete Station" button. If you decide to leave the language, click the "Cancel" button.
