The Detail tab of the Collection/Specimen display provides further information about the taxon as provided by Atrium users. Taxon information can be added or modified by users with sufficient permissions using the data entry version of the Detail tab of the Collection/Specimen display. See Chapter V-6, Edit Information for a Taxonomic Entity for details about entering or editing taxon information.

Detail tab. The taxonomy data provided depends on the taxon level. At the family, genus and species level, the detail information displayed includes common names, morphological diagnosis, description, distribution, ecology and uses, etc. as seen in the example for family Lecythidaceae above.

At the higher levels, this tab only provides a brief description and links to outside sources for information about the taxon as seen in this example for subclass Dilleniidae.
