Habitat Description: Small Mauritia-dominated wetland embedded within terra firme forest matrix. Along small igarapé following topographic lows. Transitions into open campina habitat on white sand.

Soil Description: Mostly sandy with small amount of peat accumulation. Small hummock-hill topography where plants occur on small islands of raised soil.

Plant Notes: Tree. Seems to be clonal, with new individuals from base. Trunk bark white with pustules. Sterile.
