Locality Description: Los Amigos Biological Station, Madre de Dios River, ca. 7.0 km upriver from mouth of Río Los Amigos. Trail from garden which leads to the cocha grande.

Habitat Description: Old growth, lowland tropical to subtropical moist forest, lower terrace, younger floodplain, some areas seasonally inundated.

Botanical Data

Plant Notes: Epiphyte. Growing at 4 m. Common in lowland, recent floodplain. Infructescence purplish. Observed numerous Leonia glycycarpa fruit on tree that had bites taken out of them at eye-level a in canopy from stems a branches.
